Clothes, Blankets, and Fuel Distribution

In response to the brutal winter conditions—especially in the Bekaa Valley—and the unaffordable cost of heating fuel, the CJC extended its support to include the sorting and distribution of clothes, blankets, and diesel jerricans. These items are crucial for families living in poor housing conditions and for the elderly and children who are most vulnerable to the cold.

During the winter of 2023–2024, the CJC distributed approximately 500 blankets and fuel jerricans to help people survive the cold. These vital projects continue to rely on the generosity of donors, both in Lebanon and abroad, particularly in France. Amid an enduring economic collapse and lack of public infrastructure, this support offers not only physical warmth but also a measure of comfort and dignity.

Face à la rigueur de l’hiver – notamment dans la plaine de la Bekaa – et à l’explosion des prix du mazout, le CJC a élargi son action pour inclure le tri et la distribution de vêtements, de couvertures et de jerricans de fuel. Ces aides sont essentielles pour les familles vivant dans des logements précaires, ainsi que pour les personnes âgées et les enfants particulièrement exposés au froid.

Durant l’hiver 2023–2024, le CJC a distribué environ 500 couvertures et jerricans de mazout. Ces actions cruciales n’existeraient pas sans la générosité des donateurs, au Liban comme à l’étranger, notamment en France. Dans un contexte de crise prolongée et d’inertie politique, ce soutien constitue une source précieuse de chaleur et de dignité.
